Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using the KwetuPride website and platform. By signing up for or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

KwetuPride is a platform dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ professionals across Africa through mentorship, storytelling, and workplace inclusion. These Terms govern your use of our website, services, and any content submitted or accessed through the platform.

  1. User Eligibility & Roles

KwetuPride welcomes: • Mentors: LGBTQ+ and allied professionals who volunteer to support mentees • Mentees: LGBTQ+ youth and professionals seeking guidance • Reviewers: Individuals who anonymously submit workplace experiences • Public Visitors: Anyone who accesses public areas of the site

By registering, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.

  1. Use of the Platform • Mentorship participation and review submission require account registration. • Reading workplace reviews is open to the public without an account. • You agree to use the platform only for lawful, respectful, and non-commercial purposes.

  1. User-Generated Content (Workplace Reviews) • Users may submit anonymous workplace reviews. • All submissions are reviewed by the KwetuPride team before publication. • Harmful, discriminatory, or defamatory content will be removed or rejected at our discretion. • KwetuPride does not guarantee the accuracy of reviews and disclaims responsibility for how content is interpreted or used.

Mentorship & Profile Visibility • Mentors have the option to select the level of visibility of their profile on the platform. • KwetuPride values safety and respects each user’s autonomy in choosing what information to share. • Matching is based on shared information and trust; KwetuPride does not guarantee mentorship outcomes.

Privacy & Data Use • KwetuPride collects personal data to facilitate mentorship and review management. • Information is stored securely within the database tools we use and is never shared with third parties without explicit consent. • For example, a mentee’s CV may be shared with their mentor only after explicit approval. • For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

  1. Liability & Disclaimers • KwetuPride is a nonprofit initiative. All mentorship services are voluntary and offered in good faith. • We do not guarantee specific outcomes, career advancement, or the accuracy of advice given by mentors. • We are not liable for any loss, damage, or harm arising from: • Advice exchanged through the mentorship program • User-submitted reviews or third-party content • Technical issues, outages, or data loss

  1. Account Suspension & Termination

KwetuPride reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that: • Engage in harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or unethical conduct • Violate these Terms or any laws applicable in Kenya or the countries we operate in • Submit false or harmful information
